🌿 Welcome to YOUR Isopods, where passion meets nature! I'm thrilled to share with you the wonders of our extraordinary collection of Powder Blue and Powder Orange isopods – a unique and charming addition to your vivarium or terrarium.
1. Calcium Supplementation: Enhance their diet with calcium-rich supplements to promote robust exoskeleton development. This ensures the longevity and resilience of your Powder Blue Isopods, contributing to their striking appearance.
2. Habitat Setup: Start with a well-ventilated terrarium or plastic container. Consider the size based on the number of isopods you plan to keep. A secure lid is crucial to prevent escapes. Utilize a substrate that replicates the natural habitat of Porcellionoides Pruinosus "Powder Blue and Powder Orange." Create hiding spots using cork bark, coconut shells, or other natural materials. A mix of coconut coir, organic potting soil, leaf litter, and decaying wood provides a balanced substrate for moisture retention and burrowing. Keep the temperature in the range of 70-75°F (21-24°C). "Powder Blue and Powder Orange" isopods prefer moderate temperatures, and stability is crucial for their well-being.
3. Feeding and Nutrition: Powder Blue and Powder Orange Isopods are detritivores, meaning they feed on decaying organic matter. Provide a varied diet consisting of leaf litter, decaying wood, vegetable scraps, and specialized isopod foods. Ensure a good source of calcium for proper exoskeleton development. Crushed eggshells, cuttlebone, or a dedicated calcium supplement can be sprinkled in the enclosure.
